Banquet Reception
Made with WebSketch
Our banquet reception was at the Stanford Faculty Club. It's a terrific venue for a wedding banquet - very stately, and classy, and the staff was super-accommodating.
All the decorations were designed and executed by the wedding team. We had an awesome crew :)
First, there were the grand entrances....
Then...there were the speeches. The bride's father (in Vietnamese), the groom, the best man (somehow on his best behavior), Ting (my sister...who kept the embarrassing stuff out), and then Chau (who made sure the embarrassing stuff was in...thanks, Chau). Chau was funny, but I am going to kill her (jk)
Our awesome guests...
<< Power women!
and power woman to be - Katy....standing guard over the signature cloth >>
Lots of J's cousins here. >>
<< My homies. The Boston crew, roomies, dear friends.
More of J's family and friends. >>
<< Family friends from the groom's side.
The LA crowd. Very old friends of the family. >>
More of my homies. Gym buddy, ski buddies, Angelika, roommate, etc. >>
<< More friends and family from J's side. Some day, I will figure out who everyone is. For now, I am just happy they are here. >>
This is the power women table. All very competent and doing awesome things in life. (Some still single!) >>
<< Not the least. J's bro & the flower girls, our fabulous chief wedding designer/ shopper/ planner Mishel
<< More guests from the bride's side. >>
This is the trouble table :) Where I manage to put most of my Sloanie friends. And where the question is: how many MBAs does it take to eat cake? The answer is: depends, and they're drawing up the Powerpoint soon to prove that. After a few more drinks, of course. >>
<< Another powerful table. Henry and his lovely girlfriend being the main cast of characters here. So is John Shen and his lovely wife and family.
Finally, my crew from my own company. We are not where we are without these guys. Our product , WebSketch, was used to develop this wedding site. This is more than eating your own dog food; we also happen to be the best online service hands-down anywhere for building sites. >>
